Ugh, I swear my daughter makes me look like an idiot some days. I emailed one of the other team parents about our meet next weekend, asking if anyone knew the schedule yet. I get an email back saying that the coach told the girls in class last night. Did my daughter tell me??? No, I specifically asked her after practice, did the coach mention the meet? No... not at all. Ugh. I swear she has such a good work ethic, but when she gets yacking with a certain teammate or two, she totally does not pay attention. This is like the umteenth time that she hasn't heard something important to tell me. Of course I could complain the coach should be emailing us this stuff also, not relying on the girls to tell us, but they are all old enough to be responsible enough to tell their parents.
Okay, rant over. I have a huge list of things to do before we leave town for this weekend's meet tomorrow mid-morning. Hopefully I can get them all done. So after this afternoon I'll be MIA til at least Monday sometime. I was supposed to go to base tonight for a meeting, but they changed Jordyn's practice, so she gets out at 6:30 instead of 9:00. I have no way to pick her up if I am at base and I hate for her to have to stay home another night this week by herself. So AGAIN I will miss this meeting, every month since DH deployed I have had something get in the way of me going to these meetings. I really want to go, but I just can't seem to get it together. Have to mail a package to DH, return a leotard I ordred Jordyn, and put gas in the car on lunch. On a good note, we got our tax refund money today. :)
Good morning! Have some grocery shopping to get done today. It's supposed to stop snowing and clear up around noon (still thankful I'm NOT out on the East Coast!) Planning a fun weekend for next month when our best friends come out for a visit. Extremely relieved the dog hasn't gotted sick in 24 hours now but he's still not really eating. He's still in doggy jail just in case! HAHA!!!
Crossing fingers for a nice relaxing day with no drama!
Everyone's back to their usual routine - dh at work, kids at school, me at home healing. Megan has a swimming lesson and Evan may go to a yoga class at the same time (both at the Y). Dh will take us. Then we have family night at church. Pretty laid back day.
Kristen got her braces this morning. She didn't want to let me see them at first but now she's okay. The person who did them (not the dentist) said she could go back to school but since I've already booked the day off I'm not going to send her. Let her get used to them for a day first. I have to go out later and buy some softish foods I suppose, but otherwise we are going to stay inside and keep warm. I need to do a couple of loads of laundry, tidy up a bit and need to write a one page paper for school, but otherwise nothing too exciting.
Hi, two hour school delay here. Kayleigh's bus should have arrived and now Ian and I are here for another hour.
