This is our first effort at outreach to the Parent Soup community and we hope we can provide you with news about current and upcoming exhibits that may be of interest for families living in or visiting the Los Angeles area.
We invite families to explore at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with the current "Jasper Johns: Numbers" exhibition.
Johns devoted his entire body of work to one subject - numbers, making them into art that kids of all ages can enjoy. Walk the gallery or participate in artist-led workshops to create fun, mixed media works of you and your childrens' favorite numbers, letters or symbols.
We think this exhibit is ideal for Grade school age children and their parents to enjoy together...plus, NexGen membership is FREE for all kids under 18 at LACMA.
Museum Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday noon-8 pm; Friday noon-9 pm; Saturday and Sunday 11 am-8 pm; closed Wednesday. Call (323) 857-6000, or visit our web site at www.lacma.org for more information.
General LACMA Admission: Adults $9; students 18+ with ID and senior citizens 62+ $5; children 17 and under are admitted free. Admission is free the second Tuesday of every month, and evenings after 5 pm.
