on the struggles the character in Bloomability faced & how she coped & overcame those struggles. The teacher gave it back to her & told her it wasn't good enough & she isn't allowed to bring it home so I've been trying to help her here at home. Not coming up w/the stuggle about school in Switzerland because we both see it as all positive. has anyones kid read this book & can give some insight into the struggle the character had starting a new school?

Here's all I could find ...

When her aunt and uncle take her from New Mexico to Lugano, Switzerland, to attend an international school, thirteen-year-old Dinnie discovers and expanding world and her place in it.

Great book! The girl(can't remember her name, to lazy to go find the book on the shelf) struggles with finding herself. She knows she's being given a fantastic opportunity in living with her aunt and uncle, but she misses her family and her old life too. She doesn't know how she fits in with the other students at school, she is one of them, but not quite because of the position her uncle holds. Lots, and lots of personal struggles including stuff with friends, but I'm having trouble formulating my thoughts right now.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate all your typing & work. Sometimes something can be right in front of you & you just can't see it. I was like that w/Bloomability. I think I was just too upset & knowing she started this book in december & had only gotten to Chapter 4 by Feb vacation & the kids had to read it all & now she expected all this insight w/out class discussion kind of made me angry & blanked me out on the subject.

Since September this is only the 2nd. book these kids have read. Just doesn't seem like they're getting what 5th graders should be getting. I just realized today state

Thank You, the character is Dinnie & I totally missed her feelings on her uncle being the headmaster. Dd did also. Not having class discussions & going so slow at first then having the kids read it over Feb vacation just isn't right. Who expects a kid to start reading a book in
