Here's my question for the day. Have you ever sold anything like Mary Kay, Avon, Gold Canyon, etc.? If so, do you still sell? If not, why did you stop?

I sold Avon off and on for years and had to stop when I really wasn't making much money at it and it became too time consuming.
I sold Gold Canyon Candles for awhile until they set a limit on the amount I had to sell in a quarter! Couldn't do it!

I did Discovery Toys when my kids were smaller, mostly to get cool toys but I also had a few parties and sold them to friends of course.

I did sell Creative Memories for about a year and then started selling Gold Canyon.

I love Gold canyon. Are you able to keep up with the minimum quarterly requirement? How do you do it? That scared me off, so I stopped. When they didn't have that, I was having fun and being casual about it...I was invited to a party but I work that night!

Keeping up with the minimum is easy...it's only $450 a quarter.

I have never sold anything like that for my own profit. However, I'm ALAWYS selling something for a fundraiser the girls are involved with. We've sold nearly everything imaginable.

$450 a quarter sounds like a lot for me. What happens if you don't do that much? Do you have to quit selling?
Sounds like you're doing great. I purchased the kit before the new one came out, so I still have a lot of the little tins...they're nice.

I sold Mary Kay many years ago. I like the product and still use it quite a bit, and I had great ideas to sell it and all that, but in the end I wasn't outgoing enough to approach people about buying it, sales is just not a strong point of mine.

I know what you mean. I'm trying Mary Kay now, I like it. It's a little pricey, but it seems like they have good products.

They do have great products, I like their perfumes a lot and their foundation was the one that I found worked the best for me. I still use a few of their products, but i have been getting samples of everyday minerals, I like the idea of an all natural make up and its about the same price as MK.
