Do you go to church?

I hope this isn't too personal. I'm just curious if you go to church and which type do you go to? I wasn't raised going to church. My DH was raised 7th Day Adventist. However, since we have soccer on Sat., we don't tend to go to that church much.
My DD Emily's soccer coach has "planted" a new church right down the street from us. I went yesterday and it was so nice, and comfortable. He just teaches and preaches from the Bible. I think I've found a good church home! I knew other families there, too. There were about 80 people there, a pretty good start. I'm going to bring the girls there next Sunday, they offer Sunday school for the kids, too...which I like.
Just wanted to share!

Since we've moved we've not been to church.
Yes, the kids and I go every Sunday. DH is an atheist and only comes with us on special occasions, but he is generally supportive of my faith.
It's great that it's your DD's soccer coach who started this church--that pretty much guarantees no conflicts between church and soccer, which are a problem for many families.
I do agree with Marylandcrab's advice to take it slowly. All churches are run by human beings, and therefore have flaws. Over time, you'll see your particular church's flaws and will then need to decide whether you can live with them.
No, we dont attend church. I was raised to believe in God but was never taken to church as a kid.
We don't attend church currently. We are all baptised Lutherans, but attending church has not been high on our priority list in recent years.
Glad you found some place you feel comfortable.

I'm glad you found a place you enjoy! We are Presbyterian (though our church is on the liberal end of the Presbyterian scale - the main reason we're there) and though I may not agree with some of the denominational "rules", I have found the underlying theology and polity very comfortable for me. We are very involved in our church and I find it a breath of fresh air after dealing with the world. I feel safe (emotionally) there and find it a warm place where I can be myself. I have grown spiritually while there as well.
Take it slow and enjoy. If it's not for you, at least you will have learned something about yourself and your spirituality. If it is (and I hope it is) it will be a great addition to your life! I'm happy for you!
Yes, we do. I am a practicing conservative Christian (sounds weird, but I guess it sums it up) and attend an Evangelical Congregrational church. I love being there and getting to know everyone as even though we've been there for three years there are still lots of people to meet. Good luck to you, I hope you continue to enjoy this church!
We are Lutherans and unfortunately do not go to church as regularly as we should.
