Do you wash clothes in cold, hot or warm

This might seem like a silly question, but I am curious what temperature water do you wash your clothes in? Mainly I'm wondering if cold water does the job, or do I really have to use warm to get all those germs and stains out? Does it depend on the detergent?
I use Tide, what do you use?
If you use cold water, do you think it saves on your energy bill?
Oh, the questions a mom can think of while doing laundry!

I use cold for clothes, warm for towels & undies, hot for sheets. My washer only does cold water rinse. I use Gain.

I use either tide or gain.
I am a very crazy person when it comes to washing clothes.
I usually do everything in warm with cold rinse. If I need to bleach tshirts, socks, etc, I sometimes remember to put it on hot. I hardly ever use cold unless I am washing a new shirt that I'm worried about it bleeding. I use Tide.

LOL...I have 2 separate hampers...one for towels & undies and one for clothes.

Then we have a separate hamper for towels. My DH has his own and usually does his own laundry...sometimes I'll do it, but I get too busy doing it for 5 people, so he's great with helping!
Does anyone iron anymore?? I sometimes do, but I've learned to hang things up quickly after they dry to prevent wrinkles.
I remember my mom would iron stuff for hours, I'm not going to do that. I iron as I go, only if necessary! I've talked to some women who iron their sheets!
I usually use cold for jeans, warm/cold for clothes, hot for underwear and towels.
I think so, too. I never use a full scoop of detergent. Or dishwasher detergent for that matter either.
