DS got a free bike on Friday!!!

We went into Wal-mart to do our regular shopping and immediately saw a woman that we know from school. Her son is a year ahead of DS and they have been on baseball teams together and such. Her son had just won a bike and it was too small for him. She took DS to try the bike and it fit him, she gave him the ticket and told him to take it home. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say except Thank you!! DS already has a bike that was also given to him but it's nice to have an extra when he has a friend over. I would never buy one for that but if it's given to us, Yeah for us!

My son won a bike at a home show a couple years back. He got to buy a gumball out of the machine and got the winning color gumball. We could only get one that was a tad too big for him although they would have given us a coupon for a free bike from the store that was sponsoring this event. He was thrilled but you know we've had problems with that bike ever since. The first year, he couldn't ride it, it was too big but he could the next year but the tire kept going flat. We've changed it, got a new tire but it just keeps going flat. We haven't really examined it closely enough to really see what the problem is. Probably because he has another bike to use but it really was too bad he couldn't use this one. I only mention this because the bike came from Wal-mart and your post reminded me. It did make his day though and that was worth it plus it didn't cost us anything.
