My parents told me next March they are going to Florida for 3 weeks again to stay at their condo. (This year they went to Texas and hated it, not Texas but the place they stayed.) So Kristen says "Lets go to Florida (it falls during spring break), but we won't go to any amusement parks, just hang out." So I start thinking, well, we could drive down. Its a 24 hour drive, lots of people from Ontario do it, it would be way cheaper than flying (even with gas, food and a night in a hotel), we'd have a way to get around and that's 4 days travel, hang out for 4 days, go to the beach or just sit by the pool, see some country I've never seen. Sigh. Am I insane? Then I start thinking, well, my car is getting pretty old. Its not got any major problems but to put 4000 miles on it in a week might be pushing it. If I rented a car could I drive it down and back or would I have to pay extra? Hmmmmm.
But I'm seriously considering this. Anyone want to meet for lunch along the way? LOL I go right by Washington (I'd love to have more time to stop there). Georgia anyone? Florida?
Okay, maybe I should wait until 2008 to decide. LOL

I don't think it sounds crazy at all.

Honestly----with gas prices, I would be willing to bet that if you kept an eye out starting now you could get air fare that would be a lot less than the gas & hotel & food!
