**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

I'm sorry about the job search thing Cheryl! I can imagine it has to be hard on you. I did read something on yahoo the other day, and they were saying not to put dates on resumes, just put your experience. That way sometimes your age or time gaps in your resume won't count against you and you can get into the door to get a personal interview to impress them. Might be worth a try.

hmm, chili, another thing no one but DH will eat. I would love some chili, but I will most likely wait til my parents are in town in March to make it, then I can justify making an entire crock pot of it...

We have a bunch of dried beans in the cabinet, but like you, we don't have much to do with them. And the last batch of navy bean and ham soup I made, none of the kids ate any of it.

Actually, neither of the little girls have eaten anything I've made all week for dinners, its so darn frustrating! I've even stopped giving them snacks in the car on the ride home hoping that was the issue. Maybe they are just going through a phase.

Xander doesn't eat ANYTHING lately. It's driving me crazy. He eats oatmeal, cream of wheat, graham crackers, pasta with tomato sauce, applesauce. That's it. Now he is deciding to eat more often (he used to only eat once a day) now he is up to 2 or 3 times a day. I would rather him eat more often, but I would also like him to eat something different. He won't even consider eating something new though. Feeding specialist has explained it to me (fear of choking, now that he's older and can associate eating with choking, and fear of something being to difficult to chew because chewing is still ALOT of work for him). But really!!!!

That has to be hard Heather! Hopefully he'll continue to work through it with his therapy and get better!

Ugh, I just looked, all the lego robotics classes that the parks & recs department are holding over hte summer, there are only like 3 that aren't 4-7 or 7-9 year old range, so there are 3 classes that are 9-12 year range, but none of them are held the second half of the summer when DSS is here in town. :-( I was hoping to sign him up for at least camp this summer and that was the only one I thought would interest him. Great, now I have to figure out (and convince DH) of an alternative.
