**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

I was going to let DD drive today if the roads were decent, but she spent the night with a friend of hers.

She only end up driving on the way home. She was in a pissy mood when we were leaving, 20 minutes late and she was throwing a tantrum like a 3 year old, so I refused to let her drive like that. And, since we had a very limited amount of time to get where we needed to go and she still drives really slow on the expressway, I told her I would just drive. She was very unhappy with me... oh well.

Thank you so much Chelle. And I agree, I should count my blessings because so many have it much worse off than I do. And I believe you are right. I said when I got pregnant with Jordyn just after graduating high school that it was meant for a reason, and now with the little girls, having them now, and not exactly the way I planned at all, they're there for a reason. I know it will get better, its just hard at times to see that big forest through the little tiny screaming trees. LOL!

You guys are all great, thank you so much for the support!!

I agree, and I feel bad telling Jordyn no she can't drive because she's too slow. Like she pointed out yesterday, how is she doing to get better and faster if she's not driving more. sigh, and I agree. I am notorious for running late, and thinking about adding 10-15 minutes onto even the shortest trip to let her drive, ugh. But she has gotten a lot better even after the 2 driving lessons with her instructor, so I know it helps.

Yesterday on the way home, she was in rush hour traffic on the expressway, she gets frustrated with me when I give her the littlest of pointers. But she was in the righthand lane, riding 5 car legnths behind the nearest car, and everytime they hit their brake, she'd slam on her brakes... I had to remind her that she doesn't have to hit her brakes to slow down, just let off the gas, she hasn't learned to just coast yet, her foot is always on the gas or the brake.

She'll chauffer my parents around when they are in town in March also and that will give her some good solid driving time. We'll get there, it'll just be a slow go.
