**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

that sounds like fun!! I think she will be completely surprised. She mentioned it off hand one day about how cool it would be to have Duff from Ace of Cakes make her a converse shoe cake and I was like hmm, I will have to remember that. I have been meaning to call the bakery that did our wedding cake since they have pictures on their website of other "out of the ordinary" cakes. Gosh, its only 2 months from now, I better get my act together soon!

I can't remember exactly what AP classes she's taking next year, AP Physics and AP Latin 3 for sure. Latin 2 that she's taking now is considered Pre-AP, but all 4 years of Latin are taught from a college book, they just don't call it AP or let you take the AP test til your junior year. I think she's taking an AP English class, but maybe its AP Calculas, hmm, what is she taking right now, oh yes Pre-AP Algebra II, so I guess maybe next year is Pre-AP Intro to Trig.

She's been talking college a lot more this last few weeks, I think she's got her plan pretty well set now, at least in her head. I am okay with what she thinks she wants at this point, though she's a bit upset with me that I told her she's required to research and apply to one Texas college with her major, just to see what the financial aid package they offer looks like. She's not thrilled, she already said "FINE, but I'm that doesn't mean I am staying in Texas for college." And I know that, but I would like her to at least look at things and consider them.

But then again, I know where she gets her stubbornness from...

Well, I figured it would happen... DH called me up about an hour again and said he's dropping all his college classes. He's 3 days into the semester and he hasnt' made it to one class on time. His main customer handed him 8 preventative maintenances, on top of the normal 2-3 calls a day usually for them, he's got 2 or 3 for another customer for the month of February (he does those ones quarterly), and he has one customer that does a ton of work for by the end of the month for a big shindig they are holding.

I knew once he signed this one customer that it was going to be really hard for him to juggle it all, but he was insistent on going back to school...
