**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

I ended up going back out while the girls napped. I took back the lunch tins they talked me into at old navy and then spent another $90 there. Then I left and half way home I realized that their micro fleece pull overs were on sale for men too. I called my brother in Michigan to have him go get me 2 in Brian's size and I'm going to have the business nap name embroidered on the back and his name on the front. I think it will be great! I hadn't figured out what to get him and I love this idea, I hope he likes them!

Cheryl, it's even harder to surprise them when you need to shoe them a picture of the curling wand your mom is buying for them to make sure it's the right thing because neither of you have heard of a curling wand before.LOL!

Ok, I finished cleaning out my side of the garage while DH and Madison were sleeping. Madison is awake now, DH will most likely sleep the entire night, this cold or whatever he has is kicking his butt, which does not happen often. Emma is p,playing Dora on the Wii. I'm going to start dinner in a minute, we are having hot turkey sandwiches.

Heather, we love dogs, but decided not to allow them at the cabin. We found when we summered there with our dogs that no matter how diligently we cleaned, the dog hair got everywhere. We also have times when we have to check out one guest and have the place ready for another guest to check in within a matter of hours.

I have so far been pretty productive, but in little things. I just cleaned out one cabinet to put the box of K cups I bought, it's a larger box than can go in the regular cabinet with the rest of them. I am just in the mindset to get rid od stuff right now. I picked up the girls room and brought out a bunch of stuff I to the living room that I plan on donating, but don't want them to see me do it, so after the go to bed, I'll move them to the garage into a box.

I cleaned out their closet yesterday of too small clothes and separated them into a box of too small for Emma, but save for Madison and another box of too small for Madison, either donate or garage sale. I can't believe how much clothing was in that closet!! I swear I don't buy them that much clothing wise, I guess just the extra stuff my mom sends makes a big difference. I do need to get a separate pile together to either put up on eBay or take to the resale shop.

Well, here is a quick rundown on our weekend. DS went to his eye appointment and got chewed out by the eye doctor about not coming back for his contact lens rechecks as scheduled. DH and I jockeyed vehicles around--the Expedition was at the local Ford dealership for brakes, tires and an oil change (ouch). They still can't figure out why the battery keeps draining for no reason when it is parked. **sigh** By the time I got the dogs to the kennel, drove home and loaded the Mini, it was 5:30. We stayed at a hotel about halfway to my folks', because otherwise we would have shown up at their place at 11:30. We had a nice dinner and a good night's sleep and then drove the rest of the way on Thanksgiving morning. We spent a lazy day there and I helped my mom with some of the cooking--we decided to have our holiday meal on Friday evening as my brother and his GF would be coming then. Friday morning Mom and I went into town-she wanted to pick up some things at the grocery store and I needed foam circles for my advent wreath project for Bible Quest on Wednesday. I had no luck in town finding what I needed, so when I got back to mom and dad's house, I loaded the kids in the Mini and we went to another nearby town that has a JoAnn Fabric store. I found stuff to decorate the wreaths, candles for the wreaths, but no wreath forms. I ended up buying a couple of sheets of Styrofoam. I will have to cut them myself. I took DS to JC Penney and bought him clothes for the Madrigal dinner next week, and I bought a gift for a friend of ours and a gift for DS's piano teacher. We got back to mom and dad's and had an enormous dinner. It was delicious. Today DH and the kids slept in so Mom and I went to the antique store in town. I bought a little hand-crank aluminum grater like my grandma had. We got on the road about noon and made our way back. The kids, DS especially, were very happy to get out of the back seat of the Mini. : )

LOL! Sounds like a great time was had by all! I can't believe you didn't find any wreath forms! I hadn't p,annex on going out at all tomorrow except maybe the park or the gas station to get a paper, but I am thinking I will need to get a few groceries and I forgot I promised DH that I would patch up and sew all the holes in the pocket area of his work pants. I hate going to the craft store this time of year, but I don't have any patches at home. Maybe I can send Jordyn...
