**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

I dropped DH and the girls off at the movies to see happy feet 2. I went to the Christmas stroll, found the perfect bracelet and earring set for my boss, then to JC penny, got Emma a box of kids earrings and myself a necklace and earring set, then over to children's place. I bought Emma a sweater last week and she went to wear it today and it still had that plastic tag inky, so I took that back to have it taken off, then I returned the perry the platypus mug to the Disney store I bought jordyn. I decided the camera lens mug wad better. And last, before picking up everyone from the movies, I went into the converse store. Emma has outgrown her dr. Suess cat in the hat converse and I wanted to see what else they had. They have some hop on pop ones on clearance, I'm thinking about a pair for each girl, except I'd have to buy a size big for Madison as her feet are wide and usually don't fit the converse, I don't know if getting a size larger will give her the room to fit into them or if I should just not worry and find her another pair of shoes somewhere else. I didn't make it to tagprget is week, they had cute ballet flats for them on sale. Emma wears a ton more skits and right now all she has is sandals and a pair of tennis shoes.

I just put a deposit down on a letter jacket for DS and we bought DD her class ring, and both kids got new outfits for the Madrigal dinner, so I think I'm good

Just a rant.

I hate the fact that the first thing public schools cut when budgets are tight are the arts programs :(

We're doing ours today "finally" according to emma. She's been bugging me all week to do it and came running in this morning expecting to do it as soon as she got up. We'll do it later today. Jordyn's back to not feeling well again and i'm sure she'll sleep a lot today, and I'm waiting to see how Madison is. She woke up screaming around 11 last night about her ear. I thought she rolled over and hit the ladder on the bunk bed. She came in to lay down with me for a bit, about 15 minutes later she started screaming again about her ear. DH took. Look in her ears, he said he can't believe how much wax is in them right now, he couldn't even see back to the eardrum. we tried put some warm water to irrigate them out a bit, but she wasn't cooperative, I finally got her to lay on a warm washcloth, which is what I used to do with jordyn, but it was a rough time, we didn't get her to sleep til well after midnight. So everyone slept til about 9. We'll see how she does today, I hope she doesn't need a trip to the urgent care, but I think we may need to get her into her pediatrician Monday or Tuesday to see what to do.

Ah that makes sense Wendy... Jordyn keeps asking when her class ring is getting here. I ordered it from a jeweler off e Internet instead of through the school. Because it was cheaper. It's still in production. Think she's forgotten its likely going and the Christmas tree anyways. But. Don't think it'll be here til close to christmas based on their timetable.

Well, either the warm water last night helped or madison's eardrum burst, not sure which. The inside rim of her ear is caked in wax, and possibly some blood, but she won't let me touch it and DH says to just leave it alone right now. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all. She'll get a bath as it is tonight, which may clean a good portion of it out. I'll have DH look at her ears again tonight before bed, and I am thinking I still want her to go into the pediatrician tomorrow to have them checked, if anything for him to tell me what to do about all the excess wax.
