I wouldn't worry so much about the ants, but last spring when I was pregnant with Madison, I got bit 2 different times on the ankles and I swelled up really badly.

They do say flat roofs are worse.Dale was able to sit on a ledge and get all teh snwo off our front porch roof. You are not supposed to go out on the roof or it can cave in.That has happened at several busisness around here. One was an ice rink. They were between games and by some mircle no one was hurt.

Ice is actually worse than snow, with snow you can get some traction,no so with ice.

ICE is a major thing in tx....... most do not know how to drive on it. and since our summers are so hot and the streets fill up with oil.... not like in northern states it makes the roads horrible. too many accidents......so they cut down on it by shutting the schools and federal buildings down. its a "safety" precaution.

thats true. they will shut down for snow here if its so cold and will stick to the streets.....since we do not have a city wide plan for a way to get the streets deiced.....its not like northern states have. we have response teams in place MOST of the time for the hurricanes......but not the cold weather natural disasters....since we dont usually get them here.
