cool. Mike had Abita beer for the first time last month at Landry's Seafood in New Orleans.
I went to college with people from Abita.
They also have spring water. Abita Springs spring water, and there was a commercial, "The Abita man can"..and every time I sat next to one girl from Abita (who looked just like Jennifer Aniston, just younger), I would sing that song in my head...lol.
He was in the Marines in WWII. He was born 2 years after one of my grandpas. I don't know the year my other grandpa was born off-hand. Both served in WWII.
I just looked it up, my other grandpa was a year older than the grandpa I mentioned.
My dad's dad was a bugler (a bugle boy!). A trumpeter played Taps at his funeral.
My mom's dad was an MP and met my grandma when they were holding German POWs in my hometown. He was in France (Paris) in spring of 1945 and Okinawa in fall of 1945. I was just looking through some postcards he brought/sent home.
Just remember, we've come a long way. I had to fill Aly's in handwritten. I could've used a typewriter, but probably would've gotten frustrated with it.
