I wouldn't worry too much, I think we have all done it at least once. Or at least I know I have done it, I did it with Jordyn. I don't remember doing it with Emma, but I know DH did when we were home in Michigan for Christmas when she was 8 months old. he had put her up in the guest bedroom to sleep instead of the pack-n-play, and she was at this weird stage where she crawled in her sleep. She crawled right off the bed.
That reminds me I need to go spray the perimeter of the house for ants and spiders. I found a yicky hairy brown spider in Emma's room last night when I was starting to clean up the toys from when the nephews were over.
So Emma fell asleep earlier in the car with DH and slept about 30 minutes. So she gets done with lunch and he tells her she has to go in for a nap when she's done, even though she just took a 30 minute nap about 90 minutes earlier. Then he leaves with Jordyn, so she's in there screaming not wanting to take a nap... I hate when he does that.
I went in and told her she didnt' have to sleep, but she had to rest and gave her 2 books to read to her stuffed animals. She called to me about 15 minutes later and asked for more books. I guess its better than nothing.
She figured out how to climb out of her crib finally, just what I need. Of course, funny, I have been saying for 4 months we needed to move her to a toddler bed. Guess I am going shopping for a toddler bed this week.
I think the dry & the heat are driving bugs inside. I found 2 large house spiders in my house within 2 or 3 days, and we had some strange bugs in our bathroom closet. We have a contract with Terminix, and I could call them out right now, but I already called them to check on on our regular appt (which is just next Tues) since we have a live wasp nest in the back shed (the one with garbage--old wood & shelves & other things the previous owners left) in it. We don't use that shed, but I'm allergic to wasp stings (luckily Aly isn't..she got stung at school and I checked her out just in case). If it were somewhere closer to the house or in the shed we do use, I'd have had them come out immediately.
Billy Mays--the infomerical guy died. He was on a plane whose tires blew out yesterday, but the passengers didn't have serious injuries. He said he was hit in the head by some objects (but that he had a hard head). His wife found him unresponsive this morning--he died in his sleep.
