Thank you on the working parents thing. I mean, it wouldn't affect me, obviously. However, my first semester in college for education, we had to do a "group interview"...they took information from these interviews to call individuals out because maybe their answers didn't show them to be a good education candidate, or because their speech was too bad, etc. It was really weird.
Anyway, they threw out discussion topics for the candidates to discuss, and that was one of them (another was name 8 celebrities that should survive in a bomb shelter...lol...or maybe they gave us a list of 16, and we had to pick 8 of that list).
When they brought that up, I voiced my concern of that. The "panel" (education professors) didn't speak until the end. And one of the professors addressed that by stating, "Well, they would just get daycare for that 5th day." Umm, wouldn't the daycare centers be filled with preschool-aged children??? She blew off every legitimate thing I came up with.
We had trig as part of Advanced Math--a senior course. There were only 7 of us in that class. We had about 20 in our Physics class, though. Both courses were honors and neither were required, but you had to take Algebra II to take either.
Algebra II wasn't required, but most college prep students took that. There were 2 other math courses offered to fulfill the 3 math courses required, business math and I have no clue what the other one was.
