I'm looking at the requirements for the TOPS scholarship (which I pray is still available for Aly), and it's still just 3 years of math, however Algebra II is required, but Geometry is not necessarily required.
You have to take Algebra I and Algebra II.
For the third math course, you can take either Geometry, Trig, Calculus, or another advanced math course.
Please tell me how you could possibly do trig or calculus without having done Geometry?????
The friend dropped it halfway through, tried to take it the next semester, walked in and it was the same professor, she walked out and dropped it again. She eventually had to take it and pass it because it was required for her degree.
one more requirement for TOPS is a 4th math OR science. So they have to take 3 years of each, and then one more year, but they can choose if it's math or science.
Not quite sure if I mentioned this here (I think I did, but I've posted a lot since we got back..lol), but we had an issue with smokers in non-smoking areas of our resort. I debated actually saying something there (even know their room number), and I didn't. But I decided to e-mail them about it today.
What do you think?
To whom it may concern,
We recently returned home from a fabulous trip to Disney where we stayed 4 nights at Pop Century.
I am aware that the resort literature states that there are designated smoking areas, and that guests can be charged $250-500 for smoking in rooms, on patios, and on balconies.
However, I am very concerned that this policy is not being followed through. On several occasions during our visit, there was a party just a few doors down from us that would take their room chairs out to the patio walkway--thus blocking the entire walkway--and would smoke several cigarettes at a sitting. On a few of these occasions, there were cast members in the vicinity and yet these guests continued their practice.
On another occasion, in an attempt to avoid walking near these guests, we went around a different way only to be trapped by another smoker who was walking and talking on her cell phone on the patio walkway.
Upon returning home, I spoke with a couple friends who have also stayed at Pop and they witnessed the exact same issues, so this was NOT an isolated incident.
Please consider the implications on other guests of not stopping this behavior as necessary.

Wow. . . ITA with you. . . it just seems like a huge obstacle
I mean---I'm home too, but many parents (My friends included) work 9-5 and rely on the school hours to cover the majority of childcare
