LOL...my calculus professor half-spoke in French. He only came to our university in the summers, during spring & fall, he taught math & French in Lafayette. He called x--eeks (the way the French said it), and there was one woman in my class...within the last 2 weeks of school, we were walking together since our next class was in the same building. She finally got up the nerve to ask ME (not the professor), "What is eeks? I've never heard of that." LOL....yes, that would be French for x.

Thanks. I included my address & phone number.

In the past, when I've contacted them by e-mail, they've actually called me to follow-up. I'll let you know if they do so.

and when my husband was in school (he just told me), Algebra wasn't even a required math course. They had Math 1 & Math 2. Those were gone by the time I got there, and Algebra & Geometry were required.

He did take Algebra, and Geometry, though..he took the same courses I did--Algebra I & II, Geometry, Advanced Math/Trig, and Physics. He also took Chemistry, he said at that time, they would only offer it every other year because they had too few students in it. By the time I got there, a third science was required.

I was required to take Earth Science in 9th grade, Biology in 10th grade (That's where I met my hubby, LOL), Chemistry in 11th grade (Yuck!), and Physics my senior year (Double yuck!!)

Those sciences were ALL REQUIRED for us, and I went to public school

Well, my request would be MAKE them use the designated smoking areas. I'm not asking them to change anything that's not already in place. I'm just asking them to enforce it as there are many people with asthma and allergies that are paying for a non-smoking room/resort.

And there would be no way for me to know if they are actually doing it or not, as we probably won't visit for over a year, and even when we visit, we don't know that there will be rule-breakers where we are again.

We had general science in 9th grade, which covered many areas, but not biology.

Now, students get to choose the order of their science classes in high school.

What amazes me is all the nurses, techs, etc. who smoke right outside the ER doors where Michael works

They go on break and light up, and I mean RIGHT outside

Even though the signs say they are supposed to go like 1000 feet away or something
