**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

I am just so thrilled for Megan!!! It's such a good feeling when they accomplish a goal they have set for themselves!

I'm awake and have been since 3!!! The last time I was this wired was when Kenzie was 10 and swam her best at State (7 top 8 finishes and two State Champ finishes on the relay), but that was swimming at the top team in the State. The one where Rachel Bootsma swims for (she made the Olympics 2nd to Missy Franklin in the 100 back)! I'm really not expecting anything out of Kenzie for State, but why can't I sleep??? Today is the 200 IM (59 each of all four strokes) and the 50 free. The 50 free she achieved the Zone last year, but technically doesn't have it because she hasn't swum it this year...so she has to squeeze it out of herself today to add it to the list! Maybe that is what this is about, ugh!

Who drives down suburban residential streets with their music bumping? If I can hear it with the air on, there's a problem...

Thanks! She's excited. Good luck to Kenzie! Hope she makes the 50 free cut.

Totally lost my cool tonight. Flicked off some little snots. Apparently the former teammate has not gotten over our daughter and my mom and I had to endure watching the parents of this swimmer and her friends mock and make faces at our coach and my daughter. Apparently, the daughter beat ours (they no longer swim in the same age group) and so as I walked past their entourage, they said, "HAHA!" I evaluated whom was around me and turned around and gave them the finger. These girls were so superficial and it just radiated off of them, the finger was the least of what I could do. But I stooped to their level and I hate doing that. Aaaggghhh, I'm really not classless, I'm just at the end of my rope with this crazy lady. I feel like I'm in that show, "dance moms," but it's "swim moms!" :smileysad:

That sucks that they still haven't gotten over things and that they are being so immature about things.

Sorry those people were so rude.

You'd think parents of "tweenage" and "teenage" girls would know how to act better than the girls................
