It is fun and keeps the board going with chit chat stuff!

You start off your posts with...
DID YOU KNOW and then you just chit chat.

You can post several things about your day, a phone call you got.

No, that was 10 in one class. Wonder if I have my attendance book with me to see how many were absent.

And no, we did the flu thing 2 months ago (ironically, at the time of my last lab report...lol)...we had 28 students absent in my grade level one day.

About 12 of the students "absent" were on the Science Club field trip. Since they were doing science investigations at the university, I gave them a 20/20...I think that's only fair, right?

Otherwise, our school has SERIOUS attendance problems. I have one class with 10 or 12 students that have over 15 absences. ONE CLASS!!!

My homeroom is not too bad on absences. 6 all week, and some were repeat absences--one was a court thing.

Alysha it sounds like you enjoying teaching (your subject matter) and the kids just not so fond of the paperwork.

Well, hopefully they're not out because of what we were doing today. I seriously hope that's not the case.

wait--read it wrong...sorry.

Yes, *I* am not fond of the paperwork.

The kids don't like the lab reports, but I always do a lab (an experiment) with my lab reports. They won't do labs with most of their lab reports next year--just get information on an already-done experiment and have to write the lab report and answer questions with the resources given.

grrr..I am so aggravated with the goodnites. Every time I go to click on the board name right under it, I rollover and end up hitting it and it opens up a hundred times.

At least that's not as bad as the one I keep getting when I open my e-mail--it pops up 5 or so ads for 75% off cruises leaving in the next 30 days. Gee, I wonder why they're so cheap???

I'm trying to get a summer school position right now. I've never done summer school before.

However, this year's been a rough year for the oil industry, which Mike is in--and today was his first day of work since early March. But he's not on a long-term project (I know he'll have more to do than just today, but I don't know how long).
