**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

it didn't rain a drop at school. Was nice & sunny (and hot) for duty at lunch--yuck! But I got home and had about 7 inches of water in my garbage can and the ground was soaked (I didn't catch any rain coming home either).

my stepmom worked with a dr that gave his kids Benadryl for long drives.

And when I took Aly to the ped for a regular visit about a month before our 25 1/2 hour drive to Colorado when she was 16 months old, I asked him about altitude sickness (we were going from just at sea level to the mountains), HE said Benadryl. My mouth dropped.

However, Benadryl has NEVER put Aly to sleep. But thankfully it never made her hyperactive, either.

We took Aly to Disney 4 years in a row from almost 3 to almost 6, and I think it was the time she was almost 5--we always drove at night, except this time we drove home in the afternoon. She didn't shut up for half the drive (she finally went to sleep at nightfall). We said NEVER AGAIN. Of course, that changed, and she's fine now...lol.

Benadryl made Daisy hyper. So did the night time cold medicine she took the other night.
