Yes, I did deserve it. LOL!
Jordyn and I went and got pedicures earlier this afternoon, after DH and I got home, that was nice too.
I'll give Emma 5 more minutes to play and then off to bed with her.
DH said we'd do the grout in the evening, after she went to bed. I'm just going to get started on it as soon as she goes to bed, I am not going to bother to wait for him. I don't feel like waiting all night long, not knowing when he's going to get home and I am not going to wait until next weekend again to do it.
Aly didn't know it was the ice cream truck until she was a little older than Emma. At Emma's age, it was the "music truck"...lol. ;o) Isn't that cool--a truck that drives around just to play music!
LOL, that reminds me of my nephew (he's 4) at the beach yesterday.
1st time the ice cream truck came by, his mom said "oh, it's too late, he's already past us, maybe if he comes back"
He said ok and went to play.
2nd time, my dh told him "he's going home, he's out of ice cream" and his mom told him "maybe another time"
He said ok and went to play again.
Then a man came by pushing a cart. He looked at the parents, and we waved him on. Right as he got past us, without the kids seeing him yet, he turned on his music.
All the kids looked up, and my nephew asked again, and his mom just told him maybe later. I was lol'ing, the other kids looked up but knew they weren't getting anything so they didn't bother to ask.
But, the 4 year old got distracted and didn't try to chase the man down or anything, lol.
So we did the relay marathon yesterday.
I jogged/walked 4.69 miles. I finished in an hour and 7 minutes, which was a good time for me, considering I've barely trained, and had only done that distance once before. It was cloudy all day except for when it was my leg of the relay, lol. It wasn't bad though, and I had one of the later legs.
Then we took the kids to the beach for a while in the late afternoon.
The first night both girls stayed at bil's house and dh and I had the hotel room to ourselves, well, with the dogs. It was nice not to have to get Zoe up at 4:30 in the morning!
Last night Zoe stayed at bil's but Abby went back to the hotel with us.
We got back home late this afternoon. I am tired but the dogs can't seem to settle down, so neither can I.
