We've never actually been to Lake Travis, lol. I don't know if there is a swimming area/beach area or not. I'm assuming they have some kind of swimming area but we aren't swimming in the lake types, lol.

Dale used to have that rule.Gabby and I never followed it though. He wasn't the one that drove around with her the majority of the time when she was younger.I never let her have a milk bottle in the car,but that was because my bff used to let her son have one.The never relized that he was shaking the darn thing,so when it got warm the whole car smelled of sour milk. However theose spill proof sip cups were the best and pretzels were relativly neat.

Gab and I refuse to swim in anybody of water that isn't chlorinated.I'd go in an ocean before a lake though. Most of the lakes around here give me the willies, too many geese and people feed the geese so.....They actually do check the lakes for bacteria and they will close the beaches some time but still...

I haven't been to Lake Travis myself, but BIL has a boat, or had a boat, and DH was out there with them a lot last summer.

DH is pretty strict in his truck with Emma about what she can and can't have.
