DYK Thread for JULY

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

we've been in drought mode, so almost everybody is happy to get rain. We had either the 3rd hottest and the 4th driest (or the 4th hottest and the 3rd driest) June on record.

Got my e-mail notification of my electric bill, and OUCH!!!! But that was 18 or more days of 98*+ weather.

DYK its scheduled for July 31 at 7:30am...however they have to be there by 5:30am to fill out paperwork. My dad just booked a hotel (they have rooms on the hospital campus) Thur night so they don't have to get up at 4:30 to drive down there. I'll probably drive down around that time though...

DYK here's what I saw in our local paper:

"The federal government expects to have a vaccine developed by the fall to combat the national spread of the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu, health officials said Thursday morning during a summit at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda.

Obama administration officials are preparing for the worst and suspect that swine flu could come back stronger in October, when an illness could spread more easily."

DYK altho its not hot its been sunny this wk...Jamie now has a bit of sunburn on her face, specifically her cheeks & a little around her neck. She is bringing down the Solarcaine aloe gel so I can put it on her neck. I told her she's going to need to reapply sunscreen more often tomorrow at camp.

Mike went to look at a new truck so I'm here w/ both girls...Kass starts crying saying she wants to snuggle w/ me! I feel HORRIBLE cuz I cant, I have to take care of Nicole too! I told her she'd have to wait until Nicole goes to sleep. :(

Sorry if I'm repeating myself (I don't think my post went through), but I'm glad that it's been scheduled even though it's still 2 weeks away.

When my MIL was in a hospital in New Orleans, they had a "hotel" connected to the hospital that was quite nice, very large-suite, and very secure.
