DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members
Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

they're here, they're cutting...and I already have more light coming in my house. Mike's going to flip out over that..lol.
that was crazy too. Is there any more info on why he was driving the wrong way & all?
Like I said, haven't turned on the news...guess I should.
In Detroit, a tanker flipped, the flames were a half-mile wide AT LEAST..probably toxic smoke, an overpass collapsed. Just a highway nightmare, and last I heard, they didn't even know if anyone was alive inside the flame area...there was no way to get to them. Very tragic.
DYK of course that will lead Mike to conclude the house is now hotter & he needs to turn the A/C lower to compensate ;-)

Police say the suspect crashed his white Mercedes with temporary Virginia tags and refused to put down his gun at New Jersey Avenue and C Streets in Northwest.
Police say it's not clear how many shots the man got off before at least two officers returned fire, killing the suspect.
Schneider described the melee as "very fast moving, very fluid."
"The officers felt they were being threatened - they were in fear for their lives," Schneider said.
So far police have not said what led them to try to stop the man's car in the first place.
The late afternoon shooting happened a few blocks from where the third day of hearings for Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor was wrapping up. Police briefly sealed off part of the Capitol as a precaution, but the complex was reopened shortly afterward.

I can't believe how quickly they've gotten around the house. They didn't get here until well after 8am.
