DYK Thread for JULY

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

I only had to cut out "non-hidden" dairy with Emma, like straight milk, yogurt, cheeses, etc., but I could still eat stuff that had baked in milk for the most part, so i am hoping I can get away with that this time around, we'll see. I could tell the difference with Emma in just a few days. I assume because dairy is such a large part of my diet, the huge decrease made a difference quickly. We'll see. I did pick up some gripe water on the way home today, it didn't work at all with Emma, but as my sitter reminded me, what works with one, doesn't always work with another.

Kristen kind of freaked when she heard this on the news last night.

Dh is in MD for a work thing for the next two weeks.

I told her (after she gave me a look) that dh is more than an HOUR away from there LOL.

Took Kass to the doctor, just a viral thing. No strep thankfully.

I see on the news about the 5 police officers in NJ shot and some critically and also about the truck that exploded and collapsed the expressway. Both, horrible!

Its an all natural herbal supplement that is supposed to help with colic, teething and hiccups. Its supposed to help with gas and stuff. I don't know if it was around when our kids were born, but when I had Emma I had heard from a ton of people how wonderful it was and how well it worked.

I'm not too sure yet, like I said, it never seemed to do anything for Emma, and I haven't given it to Madison yet. Although she has the hiccups a ton, and she always spits up a ton when she gets them, in addition to all the time when she spits up. I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see.

How is it that I added a 7 pound, 20 inch person to my household, but my laundry has tripled? I swear I do 2 loads a day and I feel like I am never caught up.

it's amazing how a newborn can increase laundry load size..lol. For the first 6 months or maybe a year, I don't remember, I did her laundry in Baby Dreft, and I was never without a load for her.
