DYK Thread for JULY

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

DYK didn't know if you'd remember that Archie played for the Saints since they weren't any good back then

DYK I know in our community yard sales & ones my MIL had, one thing that sold well which we had a lot of was those silly Happy Meal toys. We had some the girls got when they were little but never opened up. Silly keychains, Disney characters, movie tie-ins, etc.

LOL...have the Saints ever been any good???? Okay..they had a couple good seasons...especially the one 3 years ago.

Archie Manning (though I didn't know it at the time) was a great player, just didn't play on good teams. When Peyton & Eli made it to college and then to begin in the pros, they were Archie's sons. Now he's THEIR dad..lol.

those are ALWAYS great sellers. There's one guy who would come to all my SIL's garage sales and only buy unopened ones. Last garage sale, I sold a box full for $5 (we price them at 25c usually) to a teacher at a head start school for carnival prizes. I just gave a friend a big bag full--she works at an elementary school. No use for them at the middle school level, but the elementary teachers LOVE them.

I sold Aly's barely used bike to a neighbor for $10. It was after we were putting out the final stuff at the road, and she kept coming back to dig through the trash. She has custody of her granddaughter. She bought that and a Little Tykes vanity for $5.

I also have a Little Tykes wagon ($2), a LT desk ($5), an ironing board (not LT, but similar) for $1.

DYK yes grandparents love the yard sales ;-) since they want to keep cheap stuff around for grandkids to play with so they don't have to worry that much if it gets broken.
