DYK Thread for JULY
**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**
DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members
Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

You can DVR 2 programs that are at the same time, but you have to be watching one of those programs, or it has to be on one of those channels at least. So most of the time if I don't want to watch either episode I'll go into the bedroom to watch something.
Saturday morning I was DVRing tennis and wanted to DVR an episode of Phinneas and Ferb for Emma for later, but she wanted to watch Agent Oso, so it didn't end up working, that's the time it sort of sucks. That's why I would love a second DVR box in the house.
I went to school with a girl who didn't get her license until she was in her early 20's. she just didn't really have a reason to get it and wasn't in a hurry to get it.
Jordyn is looking forward to it. I have taken her a few times to the school parking lot to practice, but now that we have the 2 trucks I don't know how much she'll practice. I told her when she goes to Michigan to have my brother take her driving in his cavelier since that is most likely the car she'll end up with when she turns 16.
can you set it ahead of time to record the 2 programs and turn the tv off?
or is it a matter of setting it to record one, and hitting record when the other is on?
That or if they have younger siblings. For example Emma's elementary school is 3/4 of a mile down the road, on the way to the high school Jordyn will go to and she'll go to Kindergarten when Jordyn is a senior, but only 17. So she won't be able to drop her off at school on the way to class in the morning. It is a good law in concept, but yes, when there is not mass transportation or whatever, they want to cut down on gas emissions, etc., but hindering carpooling like that definitely doesn't help.
do frogs die that quickly???
Last night (really this morning, but it was still dark), Aly woke me up because there was a frog in the living room--she had gotten up to get some water. I couldn't catch it because it kept jumping high & far to the point that I couldn't find it. I told her that the Terminix guy would be here today--he'll get it (not likely).
Well, I just went get the newspaper out of the playroom to put out in the recycling bin, and the frog's there..dead!
Ok, forget my argument that I posted, although I haven't caught my tale yet. I'll have to ask my boss at work, we actually do driver's ed and driver license enforcement also. I just haven't looked much into license stuff here in Texas for Jordyn figuring I still had a year until I needed to.
