DYK Thread for JULY

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

You know, I enjoy it because I'm learning so much and I'm friends with the nurses and some of the doctors/PAs/NPs, and I *love* spending that time with my husband, but it is also draining--both emotionally and physically

You're on your feet constantly, hardly a chance to sit down

And the situations are sad and the patients are in pain, sick, hurt and needy

But I'm glad I'm doing it and it is definitely a growth experience

I have a new respect for Michael's career

I will be praying for your mom

I can't imagine waiting

That must be hard

My dad has to have cataract surgery

He blew it off while he was in Greece

I need to call him to make sure he re-scheduled the pre-op assessment

I feel like his parent

Oh, we use 30 SPF too, but it makes no difference

My kids and Michael tan through sunscreen in half an hour

My kids are little brown bunnies

I swear they tan through clothes, and they can tan just from the glare off the pool or cars, I'm not kidding

They take after their dad

I have a good tan, too, but I am REALLY trying to be careful about the sunscreen because the sun is so bad for your skin!

I think we'll head out to the pool

I've just been lazy this morning

I was debating showering, but if I'm just going to jump in the pool, I want to shower when I get home to get the chlorine out of my hair

They have showers there, but I don't use them, except to rinse off once in a while

The kids have swimming lessons this afternoon

Did I mention that Matthew is taking diving lessons?

They have good diving platforms

I've always loved to watch diving

It's my favorite part of the Summer Olympics

DYK thanks for your positive thoughts Sofia! Both my FIL & my dad have had cataract surgery; its a routine outpatient procedure now but still like you said, check he's got all the pre-op stuff done.
