DYK Thread for September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

I was curled up in bed studying, and Michael came up to shower after working out

He finished his shower and came out into the bedroom

The visual is sort of distracting ;)

I think my studying is over for the evening

I think my posting is over for the evening too, LOL

Goodnight!!

Yes, thanks for asking! She grew 2 inches over the past year, but her weight has leveled off. The doctor doesn't think she will grow much more, so maybe she won't end up much taller than me :)

The girls both got their flu shots, but there is a temporary shortage (not sure if it's just at the pediatrician's office or area wide) so they stopped giving them to adults. I knew that was going to happen. Oh well, I'll have to run by Walgreens today and see if they still have them.

So I don't want to get too excited or optimistic, but my mom finally seems to be doing better.

Sunday night, she took her meds (the doctor changed them last week because the old one wasn't working) and it makes her sleepy so she takes it after dinner.

She dozed off for a little while, then woke up and watched poker on tv with my dad for 4 hours.

She has not watched tv in at least 5 months. She usually turns her back to it when my dad is watching.

Then, my dad got some chessecake that one of their friends brought over for him, and she ate some of it.

She has not eaten anything other than 2 meals a day for at least 5 months also.

Also, while they were watching tv, a Pizza Hut commercial came on.

She commented that it looked good, another thing she hasn't done in forever. All she has been doing is complaining that nothing ever looks good or sounds good.

So my dad called Pizza Hut yesterday at lunchtime to see if they would deliver to my parents house (they live outside of town). They said yes, but my mom didn't want it for lunch, and my dad had some steaks out that needed to be cooked yesterday. So he is planning on ordering pizza tonight for dinner.
