DYK Thread for September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Adam has the cushion of having his 8th grade sister at school with him. They have the same lunch and Adam eats lunch with her and her friends every day. Friday he had a buddy from pe join him at their table. All his teachers said at open house that he speaks up in class and that he is making friends.

I was going to ask you when Michael knew he wanted to be a doctor.abby seems to think people who want to be Drs decide pretty early on like when they are in 7th or 8th grade.Right now Gabby is doing her college project for Math. She says she wants to be an international lawyer, she wants to go to Yale and study pre-law and languages and then go to Harvard law.Alll I know is supplies for the project cost us close to $40,since she has to present it as a poster a book,a Power Point or whatever,Naturally Gabby could not do the Free Power Point.Instead she made a scrap book with all the required info.It is due next Monday but she has been working on it the entire day because she has 2 or 3 other projects due on the 21st.

Got some exciting news today. My Donors Choose project was totally funded!!!!

Aly donated the first $10 because she had a Giving Card from last Christmas that expired right after I posted my proposal (how convenient was my timing...lol), then a guy from the parish donated, then a lady from a northeastern state donated, then a former CL on the Disney board donated (she's a teacher, too), and just today an anonymous donor donated (could be someone I know, might be someone that one of my friends knows because 2 friends posted my project on their FB pages, might be someone completely random).

Actually not that many of the kids from football go to his middle school. First of all he is one of only 3 11 year olds on his team, but even on the other teams we have players from 4 or 5 middle schools, and ours is the smallest.

Hi Sofia, I love your new pic, your girls are adorable.

I'm just kind of numb to everything right now, life is really crappy right now.
