DYK Thread for September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

DYK I hope your miracle twins had a wonderful bday. DYK I also feel food policies have become too restrictive at school.

DYK I am no expert on comparing what we all learned vs what our kids do now. However I am always shocked how poorly our teens do on tests vs teens in other parts of the world.

I'm not sure what the answer is either.I just find it crazy giving a kdg child homework, especially after they are spending a whole day in school.I think kids end up burned out by the time they reach H/S.The answer today seems to be to overtest kids.!/2 the school year is teaching the test so the schools will get funding.

DYK I do believe most realize we are no longer one of the best nations when it comes to educational outcomes.

Well, they call it a project..not sure why. But it was just a request for a table in my room to put a student computer on. The table has been purchased and is on its way. When it gets here, I have to take pictures and get the students to write thank you letters to the donors.
