DYK Thread for September

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

Apparently the whole year is projects. In fact the principal even said in his welecome speech that the curriculim is project based.Fun fun fun!(not!).Way too much stress and I always feel that we have to leave weeekends open and plan nothing because Gabby needs Sundays to do these projects. The science theacher did extend the due date on the moon phases project. It is now due the 5th instead of the 1st,so Gab has another weekend to do it.It would have been nice if the teacher had given them the assigment at the begining of the month instead of near the end of the month.Consider they have to chart the moon phases.moon rise moon set for the month and so on.She claims she forgot to give it to them, then in the next breath she tells us that is our kids leave homework in their locker too bad so sad.Kind of not fair if they are allowed to forget.I get the whole responsibility thing and Gab does not forget homework, but if you expect them not to forget you should not either.

Will high school be different? Or does the district as a whole love the project based stuff?

Glad she gave them an extra weekend!

Oh I bet he was crazy about her.

My grandpa died when Alexis was learning to crawl and because of the lung cancer he had to sit hunched over a tray....pretty much all he saw was the floor and she would crawl under there and giggle and laugh and his whole face would brighten up.

Today I made rice crispy treats and cut them out in the shape of a pennate and put the girls initials on them. Turned out cute!

They are a little sticky, but they should be okay.

Something different anyway.
