~~~~~~~~~~DYK Thread for SEPTEMBER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**
DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.
There used to be a Waldenbooks in the mall, when we first moved here.
Then there was a small Borders there for a while.
I wish there was one there. I guess having Barnes and Noble nearby wiped out the competition.
We seem to also.Although now that we have the paper recycling bin at the end of our road we seem to make less.Of course that does not cover bathroom trash.My main bathroom complaint is that I am the only one that replaces the tp roll.Dale will take a new one out if he is the one to finish off the roll.But his rationale is he uses less than Gab and I since he is male.Then Gabby's excuse is she didn't need any more tp since she was done in the bathroom again
I think the very first time we were at the mall that Borders was there. I think it was a Borders Outlet store maybe.
There aren't even bookstores in Barton Creek or Highland though either. I have wanted to run there before for things, including books and not wanted to go up to the Domain from work and couldn't do it all in one trip.
I know there are a decent amount of local books stores and all, but there are just times I want to run to the mall and get a bunch of stuff knocked out all at once.
Don't you hate that?Friday night Gabby perfromed in the football game then afterwards one of her friends had a bonfire,so I had to pick her up at midnight.These things usually end at 11,but with the football game it was pushed back an hour.Then last night she went performed in a band fest so I had to pick her up at the school when the bus got back.I swear weekends are more tirunng for me than weeknights,sinc eI am the taxi driver.
As the little ones get older they will be even "more fun" so Brian will probably do a lot more with them,especially once they are potty trained.Gabby and Dale usually spend one day each weekend doing something fun,just the two of them.
