~~~~~~~~~~DYK Thread for SEPTEMBER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**
DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.
Mainly news papers and mags for the paper bin.I never realized how tay added up when it comes to weekly trash.
DH and I just had a discussion about that on the phone a bit ago.
I got a little PO'ed at him when he mentioned he was done working at 4:00 yesterday, but didn't get home til 1 a.m. He told he when he came home he stopped at his service manager's house for a bit, but didn't mention it was all evening to watch the football game.
He said that I am never "all excited" and don't have enough fun with the kids. I tried to explain to him its a little hard when they are with me all the time, they see me and are like "oh, its you again." But when he walks through the door, its like the circus just came to town.
Its a bit hard to get excited about that...
But overall, they are sweethearts, you just forget that at times. Or in my case lately, a lot of the time.
Yep, we have that discussion daily also, that I am too stressed out by all the small stuff, and DH is never stressed. I'm stressed enough for the both of us.
As I remind him, if I had his attitude towards life all the time, no one would have clean clothes, the bills wouldn't get paid, the kids wouldn't get fed, and you wouldn't be able to walk through the house.
I just wish there was a little more balance in life once in a while.
So do I, Tracy!
Thanks Wendy, hugs to you!
How did church go today?
I hate this 95 degree weather already. I wish it would finally cool down. 80's, that's all I'm asking!!
Took the girls out once the football game was over. DH was still working.
We got Emma's haircut, Jordyn dropped off old clothes at Plato's Closet, and then we met DH for dinner since he was done.
DH got a call just as we were going into Olive Garden for dinner. So we ended up just going to Burger King...
Madison has had her bath and I'm going to put her down to sleep pretty soon. Emma will follow shortly after that hopefully.
Then hopefully I'll have a bit of time to myself to get a few things done tonight.
