~~~~~~~~~~DYK Thread for SEPTEMBER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**
DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.
Probably.At least they are a really nice group of kids,hey just suck at planning;-)Of course there is the mom that volunteers to have it at her house.The one mom is cool with the kids staying til midnight,but most of the moms want the kids gone by 11,which I like.However with football games the 11 is a little early.Then Gabby will volunteer me to drive the friends home since the friend's moms don't want to go out late.At midnight most people are out of my way,even thpough everyone lives only 10 mins apart.Of course if she were driving I'd worrt more,but she would have to be home sooner since no adults are involved in the plans.AT 14 adults drive and adults are present at all the houses.
Also probably because you are one who keeps the dates staight.I tell Dale stuff over and over again so if he does need to pick her up at a certain time it does not help if I let him know several days ahead of time since he doesn't listen anyway,so I might as well let in know at the last min.
DYK ur right...he never pays attention to those little details ;-) But he doesn't argue that much anymore about leaving work early since I pointed out the majority of time I was the one when the girls were younger. Also he gets more vacation time than me & will end up time he has to use during holidays so I tell him to use some now instead
I hit the snooze button once, and then texted DH and he called right back, so I was only up 10 minutes later than I had hoped to be up, so that was good.
I think that's part of our problem, with DH's work, he can't leavea job site, so he will say he can "try" to take her, but knows that if he can't, I end up doing it.
DH actually called me this morning after he dropped Jordyn off and asked me why she needed to be there early.
Yes after school would be easier for that stuff since it would not involve two sets of parents getting their kids to school early.Plus what teen in their right mind would voluntarily get up early to go to school.They are up early enough as it is.Heck Gabby is out of the door at 6:30.I thinlk Gaby has someone that she likes,since there is one boy who never hung out with them on Fridday nights,but he seems to now and his family has the kids over now too.Plus he is a name that she mentions that she did not mention last year so...She also txts more than she normally does in the evenings.
I mean Jordyn's bus doesn't come until 7:45 and school starts at 8:45ish.
