~~~~~~~~~~DYK Thread for SEPTEMBER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**
DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.
Emma and Jordyn both like them, its sort of funny, and Madison has no clue what they are or for, but since the other two like them, she wants to play with them also! LOL!
Jordyn was looking for puzzle piece ones she saw someone at school had. And Emma picked out tea party ones.
NO, there actually isn't a bookstore in the mall, I think its a little strange.
Though there is a decent children's play area I probably could take them to, we usually stop there when we are at the mall, and they just added a carousel horse which is cool!
Madi's mom ended up deciding to take the girls. So I'll pick them up at 7. We'll go about 15 minutes early, they let Emma run up and down the tumbletrack whenever she is there. Its nice because it wears her out, so when we get home she can eat and go straight to sleep.
I'm just so burned out with everything that I take care of. DH doesn't seem to understand that yes, I only usually work a 40 hour week, its still busy and I come home and easily put 5 hours a night of work in with the kids, the house, etc.
He's always telling me to take teh time, or just tell him and he'll give me some time to do stuff on my own, but very rarely is he around for me to take advantage of it. And when he is, I usually either feel guilty, or feel like him and I need to spend some time together, OR, I need us to both be home to get certain things done around the house that i can never get done on my own.
Its definitely a lot harder than I thought it would be.
Complain all you'd like Cheryl, I admire that you've gone back to school and are working so hard towards your degree!
DH always tells me I need to go back for my law degree. Ya, right, that's never going to happen, I can't even imagine going back to school again.
Last pan of cookies is in the oven. I didn't plan very well, I went to get the chocolate chips, I always keep a ton in the house.
There was only a 1/2 bag of mini chips, a 1/4 bag of butterscotch chips, and a 1/4 bag of semi sweet chips. So, we improvised and just put them all in.
I'll have to stock back up on chips.
Madison is still sleeping, she slept on my shoulder all the way through CVS, all the way home, and now in bed. She's been sleeping 2 1/2 hours now.
I told Jordyn she needed to clean her bathroom before she left for open gym.
It only took me two times telling her before she did it.
She cleaned off her sink, however, the floor is still a mess and she didn't empty her garbage can, which is completely full.
I don't understand why she never empties the stupid thing, I always do it when its overfull. I suppose we need to have a talk about what it means to clean the bathroom.
I remembered on the way to CVS that we are going to DH's company retreat at the coast in October and that Madison's 12 month bathing suit is just a little snug on her.
I texted my mom real quick to see if she could check at her store for bathing suits.
She just called me and said there was one tankini suit in Madison's size, $4. So she picked it up for me.
They will be here for a visit in a month, the week before DH's company retreat, so she'll just bring the suit, and every other outfit she has and will buy the kids before then, with them when they come.
Well, I can see where you'd be pretty burned out by now! LOL!
I told him if I go back to school for anything, it'll be something fun, or something I really want to do.
I'm a paralegal right now, and completely content doing that. I wanted to be a lawyer at one time, but really don't have a desire to any longer.
I wouldn't mind going back to school for architecture, which was what I originally wanted to go into in high school.
