**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.

DYK I am not getting good vibes at work about things. sigh. I have already talked to DH about the possibility of me leaving and doing contract work from home and working on things for his business, I am really liking the idea, but I am still not sure about him. He thought it was a great idea when I brought it up the first time, but its been all down hill since then and its frustrating for me.

Ugh, tell me about it!! We get several a day, its worse than college material in the mail for Jordyn!! The only reason we keep a landline is one, because there are times the (little) girls are home with a sitter and I just never know for sure if they will have a cell phone and two, for DH's business fax line. Otherwise, we'd get rid of it. But I do need to do some pricing out soon again on cost, especially since I agreed to get rid of direct tv once the football season is over and I want to see if we can bundle services, or whatever.

This election needs to be over.  Soon.  Either that or we need to ditch the landline.

I have gotten 3 phone calls from BOTH political parties AND the NRA within the last 2 hours.

Yes I know who I want to vote for.  No, your robo-call isn't going to change my mind :smileytongue:

No matter HOW many times you call this number.

DYK DH took Jordyn to get her new computer yesterday and she was freaking out because they stopped to get lunch and the place was really slow and she still had a ton of homework to do, and had to work all last night. Did I mention this was supposed to be an "easy" year, less stressful than last, definitely not turning out to be, her AP Chemistry is killing her with work!

So then, she mentioned to me there were ants on her bedroom floor and she needed to clean her room. I had noticed 2 or 3 in our bedroom the night before, but figured they walked in while DH had the back door open unloading the new desk into the bedroom. We've had a horrible time with ants in the yard this year, but not at all in the house. I went to check her room, ants ALL over her floor. sigh. Ugh!!! I spend a good amount of time picking up all her clothes (clean, but not hung up), vacuuming, trying to figure out where they were coming from. Went into the little girls' room, and ants all over their floor near their window!! Ugh, I ended up spending most of yesterday afternoon and evening cleaning their room, vacuuming, spraying things down trying to figure out what the deal was, then I got to clean out the pantry because its in between both rooms. I needed to do the pantry, but hadn't gotten to it, and I threw out a bunch of stuff just to be on the safe side, have a nice clean and neat pantry now, but ugh I don't even want to think about how much stuff I threw away just to be safe!!! And I am still not sure where they are coming from or anything. I checked the little girls' bedroom again before I left for work this morning and didn't see any at all, so we'll see how it is when I get home from work tonight.

DYK I need to just step away from my phone. My younger brother and this house issue is just frying my brain, obviously I can't get through to him about how stupid an idea this is, so I am just going to walk away, if he makes the mistake, he makes it, and he can own up to it later on. sigh.

DYK I wish if my brother was going to constantly ask me for advice, he'd actually take some of it once in a while...

Yes the classes are for Buffy. She's sweet and calm, but so timid. It's good for her to be around other dogs and new peopel plus it's good bonding for her and I.

DH uses the smaller rolling bags all the time. He only uses the bigger one once or twice a year, but on our last trip we used all 3 suitcases and we'll need all 3 again in December. It makes sense for us to get them all at the same time.

DYK so glad I got a reminder email today from Emma's teacher. I had signed up for "Cooking supplies" for Friday and had totally forgot about it. I definitely would have felt horrible if I had forgotten them!!

On another note, got an email from her teacher saying she has been very good all week, and when she starts to stray she just reminds her of our reward jar at home and she straightens right up! I better make her first reward a good one!! LOL!
