~~~~~~~~~~DYK Thread for JULY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**
DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know
It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members.
dyk hope the bathroom/shower situation isn't too icky for her -- after having a suite having just a hall bathroom for the floor is a big downgrade for sure!
dyk when she had 4 to a room and a room mom last year did she like her room mom?
Good luck!
The lady who cut my hair was a chaperone for the band when they went to NYC over Memorial day.
dyk this is a first for our soccer team to do the room mom but due to cost issues and work/vacation it was not possible for several families to go but their daughters wanted to participate
dyk without this option and fundraising many could not have participated
dyk I welcome any words of wisdom as I walk into a brand new role!
Room mom was a lady who we've been friends with for years.
Conversation I had with Becca.
She showed me a picture that one of her friends had posted on facebook.
Really the only thing to do is try and consolate trips and not make unnecessary trips.Gabby takes the school bus to school,so that is some savings.When she has dance if she is there 3 hours or less,I will go to the library,which is near there instead of coming home since it is a 20 min drive.I try and run our dishwasher every other day.We need heat in the winter and you can only keep the house so cold.So I guess we can all do little stuff,but we still need to get from here to there.
dyk small things begin to add up and they also help teach our children habits that can lead to even larger changes in the future -- ty for taking this seriously
