Zoe is asleep (both girls are actually) so I will probably go visit with my mom in a minute anyway.
I hate to admit it, but I'm kinda getting into watching this :)
I get kind of irritated with the awards sometimes, some stuff seems a little too old for a kids award show, but I guess they are trying to appeal to teens too
I want to say, I remember "back in tha day"...lol...when they were 75cents a pound????? I don't really know.
Actually, I also remember $20 a sack, and the sacks are 40 lbs, so I guess 50c a pound sometimes.
I eat about 5 pounds, Mike eats about 7 pounds. But that's not the only cost, you have to buy the seasoning, salt, and the produce (onions, garlic, corn, potatoes), and the beer (not that I drink that)...lol.
DYK I've never read any of his adult books, have you? I assume he's from FL that's why the books are set there. Rach has read Hoot & seen the DVD movie, also read Flush & liked it. She is however, waiting on the Michael Scott book that's suppose to come out in May called
My dad came in here earlier to see why we were all in the den, my mom was afraid I made the girls leave the living room to get them away from her.
No, we were just going to watch the awards, and she didn't want to watch them.
She has been having some anxiety problems, and my dad had already warned me about what I should and shouldn't do/say to try to keep her from having an attack.
clubs are all during the school day--we have one club day a month and the clubs meet for 20 minutes on that day.
Beta Convention & 4-H Achievement Day are on school days, so they miss school for that.
4-H is in the schools here in Louisiana. They have homeschool groups for those not in school since that's really the only way to be in it...Aly couldn't join a 4-H club outside of her school.
Our school has very few field trips compared to other schools in our district. Aly's elementary always had 2 field trips per grade level, not counting clubs. We happened to have 2 field trips for 7th grade this year, but the last 3 years, we didn't have any. Some schools in the district have 5 field trips per grade level. It gets to the point where friends of mine have not let their kids go on subsequent field trips because it costs too much.
Aly happens to be in all 4 clubs. We do have over 100 members in Beta, but only 46 are coming to state. No other club has over 50 members from the whole school. So, except for a handful, most kids are in zero or just one club. They won't go on club field trips (and it won't be too bad on our regular classroom attendance).
