My 10 year old Adam took a really hard hit during the football game this afternoon. Actually he got tackled and landed on another players face mask. One of his coaches is a fire fighter and he was the first one to him and kept him still since it was his lower back. Then we called 911 and they transported him to the hospital. A couple hours later after the doctor finally looked at his xrays which were clear and his pee test was good, he was finally released. I even made sure to get the doctor to sign a release so he can go back to football practice Tuesday.

Ok it was a little more drawn out and drama filled than this version, but you get the idea.

Waiting to go out on the field was hard! Once I was out there and could talk to him I was ok. I think I had a little post traumatic stress on Monday, I had a headache all day and could focus on anything.

Joey was the one that had all the moms in the stands in tears, when one of his coaches brought him out on the field to see his brother, and he was sobbing.

Adam had a great practice tonight, so it looks like all is well.
