Facebook: How addicting is it?

I'm just curious about Facebook....I'm leery of MySpace (mainly after seeing my brothers' rated R pages, finding out my now-12-year-old niece got a MySpace

I am hopelessly addicted to facebook.
That's part of the aspect I agree with.
Grace, Speed & Power....Girls Lacrosse
I'm not addicted to it, but as much as I've heard lately about it, apparently it can be VERY addicting. I only update my status when my BIL pesters me...lol.
I signed on because it was Mike's family's way of communicating with Frankie in Iraq. I have loads of his family's members and their extended families....like I have his immediate family, then his SIL's ex-SILs (well, I guess I could say his niece's aunts), his BIL's sisters and other family members, Mike's cousin as well.
I also have one Disney friend and a few other friends from another board.
I've never looked up anyone or invited anyone to my page...they all find me...LOL.
I can't even figure out flair.
LOL...Mike just came in and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was reading this post about being addicted to Facebook, and how I'm not addicted to it, but there's been so much talk about it on the radio & TV.
He said, "But you're addicted to that!" (the board)> Well, duh!!! I've only been posting on iVillage boards since before Aly turned 1...yeah, I think I'm addicted!!!
I'm also addicted to checking my e-mail (except for my REAL e-mail, that I never check because I don't know my password--I can only access it on Mike's computer because the PW is saved there, and I don't know how to change it...lol).
that's the reason I stay away from myspace. But if keeping in touch with my nephew in Iraq is a reason for a prospective employer to question my motivation for being on Facebook, then they're just reaching.
I told my friends on another board that I would only accept them as friends if they "behave" as far as posting to me since I am still Frankie's aunt (I'm sure he'll post worse stuff than I would dream of) and I am still a teacher...lol. ;o) They all promised.
some people...LOL ;-)
I still like emails better...yes, I must be old school...;-) LOL, 'old school' being email...;-)
ohh, I definitely don't want anyone from HS finding me...LOL
