Are you gearing up for your fall things?

Dd will go to school early every day this year!! Choir is before school tues and Thurs and the rest of the mornings is for band. She also will have flute twice a week during school. Handbells meets once a week after school and once a month she goes to scrapbooking club. She also has scouts, religious ed, and German school. She is joining a volleyball league through our park district, since she didn't make the school team. She also helps to teach two tae kwon do classes and we all take one together. Who knows what else she will join!!

Not really yet. If DD joins the concert band (not mandatory - but she likely will) she has to be at school at 7:30 Monday morning. ACK!!! LOL She will be taking riding lessons Wed. at 5:30 we think but haven't had it confirmed yet, they could move her into a different day. She will likely do curling and/or archery as well. Curling is Sunday at 1:00, archer is at 4:00 in the same place. I haven't really discussed it with her yet.

We also found a volleyball league that has competitive U13 (and up) as well as recreational. The problem with the recreational for 12 year olds is its Saturday morning and she's at her Dad's so we might wait until next year when its Sunday afternoons for 13 +. Not sure if she wants to try out for competitive or not. No idea about school stuff, there is drama clubs, sports, etc. which are often afterschool so we'll be playing it by ear. No one knows what clubs or activities are in until try-outs in the fall.

Funny you should ask... I was just thinking about how I'm going to work all this this morning. Evan will have swim practice 4 school days/week and Saturdays plus weekend meets and maybe band in the mornings before school. He'll also have Cub Scouts (he's a 2nd year Webelos) once or twice/month. I also want to get him into a gifted class on Saturday mornings but we'll have to see. Megan is the real issue (and she's only 7). She's got piano lessons (currently Tuesdays but...), musicianship and she was just invited to be on the pre-team and the local gymastics club. That's Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6. Anyone see a conflict? I'm going to call her piano teacher this afternoon to see what we can do. Her old soccer team (which they tried to make into a traveling team but didn't have enough girls) is going to try to stay together through weekly clinics with the coach. EEEEEEK! Not sure how I'm going to work all this!

Connor will have choir every day for 90 mins during school hours with some afterschool and weekend performances. He's in both the Concert choir and regular choir. He's continuing with the student Historic Preservation Team (Fridays with some web master work on the weekends) and Private Guitar lessons will continue as well(Tuesday nights) He also made the HS Freshman football team so that will keep him busy until November.

I'm glad we are not as busy this year, Sean (13) has chess club on Tuesday evenings and Brooklen (10) has Hip-Hop 3 nights a week they are doing High School Musical, shuld be awesome! We will leave the house at 6:45am for the 20 mile drive to the little country school Brooklen attends and drop Sean off at the middle school just before 8. Kristie(almost 19) will be working full time and taking 14 hours at the JUCO until she leaves in January for WSU.

Wow she sounds busy! My son has cross country practice starting next week, before school starts, then after school every day. He's the yearbook editor AND head photographer AND he is in ALL honors classes. That's enough for him! HAHA!! My daughter is in the Drama program which she has to balance with her required Volleyball after school in the fall. She also wants to run for student council. She's in Girl Scouts (I'm the asst. leader). THATS ENOUGH!!! Hubby is on the road 2 of 4 weeks a month so I have to play single mom and arrange all of this!
