Alright, on the premise that the large numbers in the yearly DYK thread may be putting people off a bit, I've taken the suggestion of going back to a monthly thread.

Went to the parent information night on the college classes and dual enrollment, it was extremely informative and helpful. Jordyn and I talked and we came up with a p,an that I think is doable for her to not be overloaded next year. She is going to take 2 classes this summer, she has to decide on a schedule that works, either online or in class. And she's not thrilled having to get the meningitis shot.

Jordyn hasn't had it, and after the tetanus shot, does not want a shot ever again! She'll have to have it shortly, they have to have it by the time they start classes, even if its an online class they still have to have proof they had it. Apparently any college student in the state of Texas under 30 is required to have it. I wasn't going to worry about it really since Jordyn wasn't going to live in the dorms. I checked with my brother, he said GVSU doesn't require it YET, but they do require all vaccines, even the option ones like the flu shot, for health care and education majors.

Alright, I don't know when the last time was that she got a "new" refurbished kindle, and I swear they said last time the refurbished ones only had a 90 day warranty, but when I called the first thing they said was okay, we'll send you a replacement kindle right away. So that is awesome, I would have bought her a new one if they wouldn't have replaced it for free, but I am glad they did. This is her 4th one, each one has had the exact same problem with it.

I think you can make the appointment for her with no problem, especially since she's under your insurance. I think you are just prohibited from seeing her medical records because she is now over 18.

I still need to change Jordyn's GP. She doesn't like the people that took over our old GP's practice. She's asked me to change it, I needed to make sure since it was an urgent clinic whether I could specify them as a primary physician's office or not. I think my brother said as long as they are still considered a primary, which some places have both regular and urgent care hours, I should be fine. And they did tell her she could do that, she had been to that urgent care 3 times, had seen the same doctor every time and liked him quite a bit. I do need to get on that soon though...
