DYK Thread for February

**For those uncertain to what a DYK thread is......**

DYK stands for Did You Know or Do You Know

It is simply a chit chat thread where every thought is written in sentences and each sentences starts with the initials DYK---it is fun, entertaining and a great way to meet the board members

Below are some fun DYK blinkies--feel free to snag any if you like:

they're about to do the breast self-exam/pap smear talk with the 7th grade girls...they got the paper today. One girl holds it up to ask me about it...in front of the whole class, boys, too. And asks, "Are they going to do something to me? I've already had this done by my pediatrician."

Oh my goodness....so the boys are all, "Ewwww!" and "TMI!" I was mortified for her that she was asking (even if she wasn't mortified).

I hope so, too. It's probably because it's that time of month, but I didn't want to take Midol this late because it has caffeine in it.

You have to sign a permission slip along with all the athletic forms saying you consent to the drug testing. DH says that I shouldn't sign it and if it happens Jordyn is supposed to call us immediately and refuse to do it. Honestly, I have no issue with them doing it as long as it is truly random. Jordyn said there is at least 2 boys that have had to submit to 4 or 5 already this year, so is it really "random". I don't know. My only concern is always that she uses 2 different steroid creams for her eczema and I don't know whether they would make them positive or not, but like I said, I have a doctor's note on file saying she uses it.

Luckily I had a hide a key attached to the bottom on my car. I locked my keys in my car about 6 months ago and DH got upset with me about it and made me get one. I usually keep a spare one in my purse, but the inlaws have it for when we left my car over there over the holidays last year when we were in Michigan.
