I am at home with Emma right now. She was running a fever all last night again, so she has a doctor's appt. at 11:10 this morning. DH said I'm being an overprotective wuss and should just send her to the sitter's house. Its not like I run to the doctor all the time, other than this past 2 weeks of diarrhea and fevers she's only been to the doctor 3 other times for thrush and ear infections. I just want to make sure everthing is okay.
Anyway, so after her doctor's appt. I am heading down to work and DH is going to pick Emma up from me when he gets out of his HR meeting around lunch time. Other than that not much is going on. Hopefully I can get him to do some house work while he is home this afternoon since he's barely ever home to help out with things.
It has been a really, really busy week and not a fun one -- I had a kidney stone which I only knew because I had a fever for a couple days, some lower back pain, went to doc and found blood in my urine; luckily it was very, very small and somehow I passed it without any pain. I feel much, much better today, the kids are at camps, and it just dawned on me that this is probably the last day I will have any time to myself whatsoever until September... So, I am going to treat myself in my remaining 4 hours by getting a pedicure for the first time in 2 years, then shopping for some new sandals! :-)
I don't think you are being over proectivtive.Hasn't poor Emma had diarrhea for almost a week. That can't be good in a baby Emma's size. They can become dehtdrated really easy.It is better to get i checked.Plus she has had a fever for seveal days,I would not ignore that.Of course I always end to error on the overprotivive side when it comes to stuff like fevers or upste tummies that go on for more than a few days.Gabby's Reading teacher's 3rd grader was hospitalized because she could not keep food or drink down after 3 days becasue she was becoming dehadrated. At least the dr can ease your worry or give Emma somthing for her diarrhea.
Thanks Laura, that's what the doctor said. Yesterday was actually 10 days of diarrhea. He said it looks like she is finally at the tail end of the bug she had, but sent us over for some blood work today just in case. Not real fun, but she definately is feeling better. So we are home now enjoying the afternoon.

Have a good day everybody!
Well, tonight is our first show for our recital.
Hi everyone--

I'm here!
This morning after a nap (yes, I took a nap @ 9 a. m.!) I went to the dollar store to start getting school supplies.
Tracy, I hope Emma is fully recovered soon.
Here, last day of school, woo hoo!
