Thanks. She was up at 5 to get here so I'm not expecting much today. So far she's swimming like she's in a pool of sludge... We all have bad days I guess. She would only eat half of the bagel sandwich dh made her for breakfast and she 's swimming 200 free, 50 free, 100 back, and 500 free today. She's going to need all the carbs she can get.... :)
Sounds like overall the visit went very well Cheryl! That's what's so good about going r those things, not only the potential money of course, but to get more first hand insight o the colleges. I think it'll give he a better perception and when she makes her final decision, she'll know it's the get one. Can't wait to see how things end up!
Zeph didn't have a good meet either. He missed the 50 back because he was bust chatting rather than lining up. His 50 fly stayed aboutthe same. He did cut off 20 seconds from his 100 IM. His last IM time was from start of season so that was exciting to see the progress. Last time he missed an event, we made it clear that he would have to pay for the meet. If DH can get up early and drive an hour to get Z to a meet, the least he can do is pay attention and participate. It's a lot of money to a kid since this meet had a parking fee also. Hopefully lesson learned.
Good for you for following through! Parking at UIC isn't cheap. I think every swimmer misses an event at one time or another. My kids both have. Had I not yanked her away from the concession stand, Megan would have missed another. His IM sounds like quite an accomplishment! Way to go Zeph!

I love hearing about everyone else's college visits and application process.

LOL Mindy!
You know- at this point I'd be willing to pay someone to do this.
