Good morning ladies, it's Friday, only two full weekends until Christmas, have you got a lot left to do, visiting relatives to get ready for? What are your plans for the weekend?

Yet another busy, swim filled weekend... Worked with a sub this morning and things went fine. She did a good job and the kids liked her. This afternoon I have to get some things done around the house and pack for tomorrow and Sunday. Tonight Evan has a high school meet that dd and I will watch. Dh is going to watch some martial arts tests because he is testing for his black belt
next time tests are given and he wants to see what's involved. He'll probably volunteer to be an attacker for someone testing too.

Saturday dd and I will leave about 9:30 for a swim meet an hour and a half away. When it's over we'll head to my parent's for the evening. They live 45 minutes away from the meet so it makes more sense to stay there because dd swims again on Sunday at the same meet. Evan has an away high school
meet in the afternoon and will get on the bus late morning. Dh will go out to the meet later on.

Sunday is day 2 of Megan's meet which is a highly competitive one. She may or may not make finals. I'm just happy when she cuts time. Hopefully she'll
make a state cut or two to relieve the pressure for the rest of the season. Evan is working a Christmas tree sale for a school club on Sunday from 11-4.
Megan and I will come home Sunday after the meet which could be 5:00 or could be closer to 9:00 if she makes finals.

Not sure exactly when anyone is going to get any homework or practicing done. Not to mention Christmas preparations.

Dinner tonight... Who knows. Evan had to take a sandwich etc. With him as he's going straight to his meet after school. Megan wanted to do some shopping for her Secret Santas after school and before Evan's meet so maybe we'll grab something while we're out.

Life is crazy and out of control. None of us are enjoying it and we aren't getting a chance to enjoy being a family or the holidays... I don't know what can change though except to eliminate swimming which is how my kids identify themselves... Guess I'll just tie a knot, hang on tight and do the best I can. There are some things to be done that will make things a little smoother. Peace is the number one need here right now... That will have to become my focus. No one got much sleep last night. Hope their swimming doesn't suffer.

It's a busy weekend, at least for jordyn. We had a family issue last night and we were all up til around 2 a.m., so she went not school late and called into work tonight, so she's in the shower right now and going to bed early tonight. I called into work, took the kids into daycare late and spent the day taking care of the issues needed taking care of. I did get some present wrapping and laundry done.

Saturday, jordyn has to be at the photography garage sale fundraiser at 6 a.m., then practice from 10-12. She's got a bunch of errands in the afternoon and the photography clubChristmas party in the evening. I need to go over across town to pick up a menorah for her photography project (you'd think it wouldn't be that difficult to find one, but we've been on the hunt for 3 days to find one) and to pick up her dress for the NHS induction ceremony next week. I have a bunch of cleaning and laundry to do. I am going to try and finish up the small bit of exterior trim work so I can get Christmas lights hung finally. DH has one skydive left to get his license, so he's doing that Saturday morning,

Sunday, forecast is rain, so cleaning and laundry I suppose. I have some of DH's invoicing to do. Oh, and I need to get to the post office this weekend.

I subbed today, came home and vacuumed and started setting up for the dinner tomorrow--put the leaves in the table, changed the tablecloth, talked to DH about placement of the tables, and we were just about to move the sofa table when our renter called. (We have someone staying in the cabin this winter--it's much better for it to be heated all winter) We had some work done on the well a couple of weeks ago and now there's no water.**sigh**

Thanks... But when we get a weekend like this one, the chaos is worth it. She swam in the afternoon so we left our house at 10 and were there in plenty of time. She swam personal bests in everything, got past a major block in 50 free, and made the state cut in 50 back. She didn't make finals at all but after the dy she had, it really didn't matter. My parents live in WI and only 45 minutes from the meet location so we're staying with them tonight and got to their house and had a fabulous dinner, fire in the fireplace, and helped them decorate their Christmas tree. Couldn't ask for much better. I love visiting my parents. I always leave feeling calm and peaceful.

Wish Evan had had a better day for the high school team but he had a great meet last night so that helps.
