We had dozens of nests all over the yard when we first moved into this house. We have it treated every year now, I must be allergic because anytime I get but I swell up in the bite area the size of a golf ball and I itch for a week afterwards. Our plan is like your termite plan, we pay about $140 a year and they come out multiple times and then anytime in between if we find a mound.

At least we've got a plan where we pay $250/year and they'll treat for free as long as we keep paying them.

sounds like your DH is having quite a trip, Tracy. How scary for those tires to blow out!

We had both termites and fire ants in Alabama. If you can find it, Over andOut is a great fire ant preventative. and if you have termites, instead of wood mulch, I'd use some sort of crushed rock in your flowerbeds.

DH called, he hasn't even made it out of Texas yet, he had a tire blow out earlier, got that fixed and another one replaced, and he just had one of the ones replaced blow out. He is. Or in a good mood. I think it's karma, I think he should just come home.

We've never had termites, so I vote fire ants, they are horrible! I spent a good hour weeding out my rose gardebpn, it still needs some work, but I was exhausted and told Jordyn I'd run her to the clothing store to take back the outfit I bought her for her birthday. She ended up getting 2 pairs of shorts and 2 shirts with the credit, a buy one get one half off sale as well as a 20% coupon.

And that was the main reason the landscape timbers needed to go.

Well, I would just appreciate the ambition. Things like that don't get done here unless I either throw a fit or do whatever it is myself. I hope the weather clears up enough so your DH can finish the project!
